Hike for Hospice Hustle - Okotoks
The 10th Annual Hike for Hospice Hustle takes place on May 3, 2026 at Ethel Tucker Centennial Park, 7 Riverside Drive, Okotoks, along the paved Sheep River pathways. The event raises funds for Foothills Country Hospice Society to support hospice care for adults and their families.
Distances offered:
- 2 km walk on paved river pathways
- 5 km walk on paved river pathways
- 5 km timed run along river pathways
- 10 km timed run along river pathways
The 5K and 10K runs are officially timed with chipped bibs; results are posted on site and online. Walk routes are accessible to strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters. Leashed dogs are permitted on walk routes. Participants 11 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Family-friendly activities, food trucks, and aid stations will be in the event zone. Port-o-potties are available at the start/finish area only; none are placed along the routes.
Event packages can be picked up in advance at Sobeys Okotoks (May 1) or at the event zone on event day at Ethel Tucker Park. Online registration closes April 29, 2026 and same-day, in-person registration will be available. Examples of registration fees: 5K run CA$50, 10K run CA$60, adult walk CA$20, youth (10-17) CA$10, child 9 and under free. T-shirts are optional during registration. Registrations are non-refundable. The fundraising goal is CA$100,000; CA$12,407.50 has been raised so far and 206 participants are registered.
