Grassroots Backyard Ultra - Okotoks, Alberta
The GrassRoots Backyard Ultra returns for its fifth edition in Okotoks, Alberta. The main course is a 6.71 km loop along the Sheep River pathway with some single-track dirt sections and about 34 metres of gain. The loop is on public pathways.
Event formats include the Last Person Standing Backyard Ultra and two timed events that share the same loop and rules. The timed events have limited capacity.

Key rules and conditions Runners must complete the 6.71 km loop within one hour to continue. A new lap begins at the top of each hour and warning whistles are given before each start. Runners may not receive aid while on course. The last remaining runner must complete one additional lap to be declared the winner. Minimum age is 16 years. Timed events have strict registration caps.
