Millarville Half Marathon
The Millarville Run To The Market takes place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Millarville, Alberta, on a new out-and-back course offering road race distances. Distances available:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21 km
The event features the Cobs Baker Shawnessy "Bunner" division with two cinnamon bun stations at 2.5 km and 7.5 km. This division is available to any distance; to qualify for the Bunner ranking a participant must consume a whole bun at each station. A $100 prize is awarded to Bunners who beat the top Runners, male and female, in the 5 km, 10 km and 21 km races.
Race day coincides with the opening day of the Millarville Farmers Market and is part of a kickoff weekend that includes an evening music concert and a cycling Gran Fondo the following day. The featured charity partner is Rowan House Society, which provides crisis intervention, long term support and preventative education for people affected by domestic violence in southern Alberta.
Race entry includes professional organization and chip timing, a commemorative long sleeve finisher tech shirt and medal, Bunner cinnamon rolls, aid station support, and post-race refreshments. Aid stations are located at 2.5 km, 5 km, 7.5 km, 10.5 km, 13.5 km, 16 km, 18.5 km and the finish line; Bunner rolls are at stations 1 and 3. The start location is Millarville Racing & Agricultural Society, about 35 minutes south of Calgary. Timing and real-time results are provided on Zone4. Volunteers can earn a race credit by staffing one of four aid stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
