Millarville Half Marathon

Course and Distances

The Millarville Run To The Market returns on Saturday, June 20, 2026. It features a new out-and-back course with three distances: 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km. There is also a special Cinnamon "Bunner" division.

Event Details

The event is part of the big "Kick Off" weekend of June 20, which also includes the opening of the Millarville Farmers' Market season, an evening music concert, and the Chinook Classic cycling Gran Fondo on Sunday. The Millarville Farmers' Market is the oldest and largest outdoor market in southern Alberta.

Participants in the "Bunner" division have access to two Cinnamon Bun Stations, located at the 2.5 km and 7.5 km marks. To qualify, a whole bun must be consumed at each station. A $100 prize is awarded to the top "Bunner" who beats the top "Runner" in each distance and category (male and female).

Inclusions and Registration

Race entry includes:

• A professionally organized, chip-timed race.
• A commemorative finisher's tech t-shirt and medal.
• Fresh cinnamon rolls for the "Bunner" division.
• Aid station support.
• Post-race refreshments.
• Access to the Farmers' Market opening day.

The 2026 registration fees are: $52 for the 5 km, $63 for the 10 km, $89 for the 21 km, and $49 for the Virtual Race (any distance). Online registration closes on the Thursday before race day at midnight. A free finisher's medal is included for early bird registrants.

Practical Information

The start is at the Millarville Racing & Agricultural Society, 306097 192 St W, Millarville, Alberta. Start times are: 21 km at 8:00 am, 10 km at 8:30 am, and 5 km at 9:00 am. Participants are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before their start time.

The course features eight aid stations. Real-time web results are provided via Zone4. Package pick-up details are to be announced.
