High River Half
The Servus Credit Union High River Half is a community running event held on Saturday, September 11, 2027, that raises funds for the Foothills Advocacy In Motion Society, which supports adults with developmental disabilities.
The event starts and finishes at George Lane Memorial Park and includes multiple race options:
- Half Marathon
- Kids' Fun Run
- 10K
- 5K and walkers
Parking is prohibited inside George Lane Park; municipal parking lots and parking at Spitzee School are available. Race package pick-up is arranged the day before at the Snodgrass Rec Centre and on race day at George Lane Memorial Park. Medical support is listed for the event.
For safety, participants are allowed to use one earbud. Socks are available for purchase on race day for $20.00 and were offered as an option when registering. Medals will be awarded to the winners in the male and female categories; the event notes that there are not currently enough participants in the non-binary category to offer awards, and organisers intend to expand recognition in future events.
