About the race
The Servus Credit Union High River Half raises funds for the Foothills Advocacy In Motion Society, which supports adults with developmental disabilities. The event uses George Lane Memorial Park as the start and the finish location.
Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Kids' Fun Run
Race package pick-up occurs the day before at Snodgrass Rec Centre and on the morning of the event at George Lane Memorial Park. Parking is prohibited inside George Lane Park; municipal lots and Spitzee School are listed as parking options. Water stations and medical support are provided along the route. Route details and maps are published by the organizer.
High River Half SOCKS will be sold on race day for $20; they can also be purchased early during registration or by contacting the organizers. For awards, medals will be presented to the winners in the male and female categories; the non-binary category does not currently have enough participants to offer awards. The event notes a safety rule that only one earbud is allowed while on course. If a participant does not finish or needs to leave early, they are asked to text the organizers so the participant’s safety can be confirmed.
