High Lodge 10k Guided Trail Run
This guided trail run takes place at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, Suffolk (IP27 0AF). The route covers 10 km on woodland trails. Guides provide factual information about the local forest and practical tips on trail running.
Runs are led at a conversational pace and participants are grouped by similar ability. Group pace may be slower than an individual runner’s normal pace. The terrain is mostly flat with a couple of small hills; leaders will offer advice on how to tackle those sections.
The event allows up to two hours for the run, with actual duration depending on the abilities of those attending. Trail shoes are recommended, though road shoes are acceptable if they are all that a participant has. Participants should carry at least 500 ml of water and any snacks they need.
There is parking at High Lodge and a parking charge of £3 for attendees. The event entry fee is £12.50. The run takes place on woodland trails where there is potential to see local wildlife.
