High Bridge Challenge
The High Bridge Challenge is a cumulative challenge that combines results from two separate races, Night Train and Freight Train, held at High Bridge Trail State Park on June 20, 2026. Runners register for each race separately and follow the start schedules and event rules of the individual races.
Participants may combine distances from both events to qualify as a finisher in the Challenge. Valid combinations include:
- Marathon - two half marathons (one at each event)
- 100k - 50k at Night Train plus 50k at Freight Train
- 150k - 50k at Night Train plus 100k at Freight Train
To be considered a Challenge finisher, a runner must complete the paired distances in the same calendar year. Every finisher receives a unique, historic prize; runners who complete only one distance are not eligible for that prize.
The Challenge registration fee is $15; $10 of that fee is donated to the High Bridge Trail Friends Group to support trail maintenance. Additional discounts apply across the organizer’s races: a code "Thanks" is available for military, fire, law enforcement, medical, and educational professionals, and Challenge participants may use the code "Challenge" for a 15% discount on Freight Train race checkout.
