Course and logistics
All courses start and end at Camp Paradise and include a finish that crosses the bridge. The route follows a flat rail trail through fields, small towns and Farmville. Aid stations are spaced with extended distances between them; crew access is available in Downtown Farmville, Tuggle and Prospect. The 50K is noted as slightly long - closer to 32 miles. Time limits are 9.5 hours for the 50K and 5 hours for the half marathon. Runners must carry water; the organizer recommends at least 20 ounces and states failure to carry water can lead to disqualification. The event is cupless; participants are advised to bring a small portable cup.
Entries, awards and extras
Women receive tank tops; men receive t-shirts. All finishers receive an award. Top three finishers of each gender in each race receive prizes. The Family 5K option allows one registrant to add up to four additional family runners for a flat fee, with each receiving a shirt and finisher award. The organizer allows in-race distance changes.
