Hibernal Hills 50 Mile : event details
The Hibernal Hills event takes place at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Horndean, Hampshire. It is a single-loop route that starts and finishes at the park. The course follows the Staunton and Monarchs Ways for the first 50 km before joining the South Downs Way back to the finish. The route is mostly trail - about 99% trail, 1% road - and includes around 6400 ft of ascent and descent. There are 7 aid stations on course. The event includes way marking, chip timing, live GPS tracking, a bespoke finisher medal, winner trophies, downloadable photos, vet category prizes (40+, 50+, 60+, 70+), event insurance, and first aid and medical cover. This race is a UTMB Index event worth 3 ITRA points.

Entry, qualification and policies
Entries are first come, first served and will close one week before the race or when entry limits are reached; there is no waitlist. Minimum age is 20. A qualifier is required: runners must have completed at least a trail marathon within its cutoff time in the last four years, with a trail 50K recommended; the qualifier must be an official race with online results. The entry fee is £105 (early bird £100) and includes a mandatory GPS tracker. Refunds are 50% until 6 November 2025; after that date there are no refunds except a full refund for pregnancy if notified before the race. Deferral and transfer options are available with time limits and possible fees. Permit is granted through the ARC - permit number pending.
