Hibburt Park Revel & Run Team Relay
Hibburt Park Revel & Run is a team-based relay on a 5.5 km loop that starts and finishes at Hibburt Park. The route runs alongside Heyders Road, includes a short beach section and laps through Bottle Lake Forest before returning to the park hub and finishing chute. Teams pass a single timing chip between runners to record laps; only one team member may be on course at a time.
The event offers 6-hour and 12-hour team relay categories with teams of 2 to 4 people. Competitors must be at least 12 years old. Entries close midnight Sunday 14 June. Registration fees cover administration, timing chips, race packs and site hire; Hibburt Park is a not-for-profit managed by Spreydon Youth Community Trust and event profit contributes to park operating costs.
Within the park teams receive an allocated hub space where tents and gazebos are permitted inside that area. On-site facilities include toilets, showers for competitors, hot water and microwaves. Food vendors will operate periodically and are not included in entry fees. There are no aid stations on course. Medical personnel will be on site, and runners are required to carry appropriate winter gear; head torches and high-visibility gear are specified for night running. Spectators are welcome but support runners on course are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
