Hey Hey 5K - Baileys Harbor
The Hey Hey 5K is a community road race routed through the back roads of Baileys Harbor and beginning and ending at the Door County Brewing Co. taproom. The event is chip timed and uses a simple 3.1 mile loop that returns to the brewery for post race refreshments.
Participants can expect one aid station near the halfway point offering water and Tailwind Energy Formula. The finish area will provide water, Tailwind, and light snacks, and the brewery offers beer or a root beer float with custard for finishers. Runners receive a race t-shirt and other race swag; kids 14 and under have a reduced entry fee and receive a shirt and root beer float. Children 5 and under may participate for free but will not receive chip time, bib, or shirt unless registered.
Packet pickup and on site registration are available the evening before and the morning of the race. On site registration is offered at packet pickup times. Registration fees vary by date, with early, mid, and late pricing tiers and a note that registering by September 1 guarantees shirt size. The event allows strollers, dogs, and walkers, with a request that those participants start toward the back of the starting chute.
