Event Overview
The Jacksonport Maifest Lake to Lake Race is a running event with a 10k and a 2-mile run/walk. Both events start and finish at Lakeside Park on Lake Michigan.
Course Details
The courses are scenic. The 10k route goes along Lake Shore Road to Clark Lake and returns via N Cave Point Drive. The 2-mile event is an out-and-back course along Highway 57 and Lake Shore Road.
Participant Perks
Registered participants receive an official race bib with chip timing, a T-shirt (availability not guaranteed for late or day-of registrations), and post-race results. Post-race refreshments include bottled water, sports drink, chocolate milk, bananas, and bagels.
Awards
In the 10k, medals are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, and to the top three in multiple age divisions. In the 2-mile, medals are given to the top three overall male and female finishers.
Other Information
The event is part of the Jacksonport Maifest. Festivities after the race include live music, food, an art fair, and a horse pull. All proceeds benefit the Jacksonport Fire Department, whose members serve as course marshals. Parking is available at the lot by the softball fields on County V.
