Event Overview

The Door County Half Marathon takes place in the scenic Peninsula State Park in Wisconsin. This event features a closed, USATF-certified road course that winds through the park's natural landscapes. To maintain the quality of the participant experience, the half marathon is capped at 2,000 runners.

Participants can choose between two primary distances:

  • Half Marathon (21.1 km)
  • 5k (Nicolet Bay 5k)

Both races take place on the same morning and share a common finish line located near Nicolet Bay Beach. The half marathon course is described as a rolling route through wooded areas and coastal scenery, starting with flat sections before encountering inclines and declines.

Runner Amenities

Participants in the half marathon receive a long-sleeve tech race shirt, a finisher’s medal, and access to eight aid stations with full course support. Runners in the 5k receive a short-sleeve tech shirt. All participants have access to a post-race party featuring live music and a beverage. Awards are presented for various age groups and divisions for both distances.

Logistics

Packet pickup is available on the day before the race at Baileys Harbor Town Hall, as well as on race morning at the Nicolet Bay site. The event organizers provide shuttle services and parking options for participants and spectators. The race concourse also serves as the hub for post-race celebrations and awards ceremonies.
