Hairpin 5k Run & Walk
The Hairpin 5K Run & Walk is a July 4 event held in Fish Creek, Wisconsin, at 4167 Main Street. It is described as the longest-running 5K in Door County and a local July 4 tradition for runners and walkers of all ages.
The event is organized as a fundraiser by Friends of Gibraltar Schools. Proceeds provide annual funding for field trips and enrichment experiences for students in grades K through 12 at Gibraltar Schools in Fish Creek. Friends of Gibraltar Schools has hosted the Hairpin 5K for more than 30 years.
Packet pick up is scheduled at Gibraltar School, 3924 WI-42, Fish Creek, WI 54212, on July 3 and at a downtown Fish Creek location on July 4. Registration is offered in adult and child categories: adult (ages 15 and over) and child (ages 14 and under). Published registration fees include mandatory charges and vary by registration period; sample amounts shown for earlier periods are $39.57 and $44.94 for the adult category, and $14.87 and $18.10 for the child category.
