Thames 10km
The Thames 10km is an event organized by Barnes Fitness that returns to a route formerly known as the O2O 10km. The course begins at Thames Valley Park and follows the paths along the River Thames and the Kennet & Avon Canal. Participants run into central Reading before returning to the start location. The event includes the following distances:
- 10 km for participants aged 15 and over.
- Kids Fun Run for entrants aged between 4 and 14.
The course features directional signage throughout. Logistics include on-site first aid services and marshals stationed along the route. Participants receive chip timing, which allows for results to be available immediately upon finishing the race.
The event provides specific metal medals for all finishers to commemorate their participation. Awards are presented to podium finishers and winners within specific age groups. After the event, participants can download official race photos at no additional cost. The 10km race is open to runners of various experience levels with no specified qualification requirements.
