Overview
The Hemingway 5K Sunset Run is a two-day event in Key West, Florida, held July 25-26, 2026 as part of Hemingway Days. The event marks its 37th anniversary and centers at the Southernmost Point and the Southernmost Beach Cafe, 1405 Duval Street. All 5K participants start and finish at the Southernmost Point buoy. The weekend includes a beach awards party with tastings of Papa’s Pilar Rum and Islamorada Beer, raffles, and live island-style entertainment. A pool party at the Blue Flamingo Resort is also part of the schedule.

The Beach N’ Beer Mile takes place on the beach at the Southernmost Beach Cafe and includes four beer tickets on the bib and a custom shirt. Costumes are encouraged and prizes are awarded for Best Team Spirit, Best Dressed, and Least Dressed. Event management fees apply.
Paddleboard race and rentals
A paddleboard race is associated with the Hemingway events.
