Hemingway 5K Sunset Run - Key facts
The Hemingway 5K Sunset Run takes place in Key West on July 25-26, 2026 as part of Hemingway Days. The event marks its 37th year and is based at the Southernmost Point area, with the race route starting and finishing at the Southernmost Point buoy. Race options include:

- 1 mile Beach N’ Beer Mile
Registration is available in person at a booth outside Southernmost Beach Cafe, 1405 Duval Street. Results are posted on the event website and the event Facebook page the race evening.
Event activities and amenities
An after-party and awards gathering will be held on the beach outside Southernmost Beach Cafe, featuring tastings of Papa’s Pilar Rum and Islamorada Beer, snacks, raffles, and live entertainment. The Beach N’ Beer Mile is held on the beach and includes four loops with four beer tickets on the bib, a custom shirt, and costume prizes in categories such as Best Team Spirit, Best Dressed, and Least Dressed; this mile is not a timed event. A pool party is scheduled at The Backyard - Pool and Social Club at Blue Flamingo Resort, 3280 N Roosevelt Blvd. Paddleboard rental options are listed by local vendors for related paddle events.
