Hemel Hempstead 10k

The Hemel Hempstead 10k is a chip-timed running event organised by Team DENS. The event offers two race distances: a 10k and a 5k.

The main 10k route consists of two laps on fully closed public roads. The terrain is tarmac, with an undulating profile and a total elevation gain of 137 meters.

The event starts and finishes outside the Riverside Shopping Centre in Hemel Hempstead. Paid parking is available at the shopping centre and other nearby locations. The nearest train station is Hemel Hempstead, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the start area.

Participants receive chip-timed results, a unique finisher medal, and free race photos. Water stations are located around the 2 km and 7 km marks. Portable toilets and an informal bag drop facility are provided in the event village. The event is open to runners aged 15 and over, and it welcomes participants using wheelchairs or pushing buggies. Dogs are not permitted for runners or spectators.

Entry fees are offered at a special rate for the charity: £22 for the 10k and £15 for the 5k. Proceeds support DENS's work with local people facing homelessness, poverty, and social exclusion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
