Hemel Hempstead 10k & 5k
The Hemel Hempstead 10k and 5k is a road race held on fully road-closed surfaces through the heart of the town. This event is the second edition of the race and supports the charity DENS, which assists people in Dacorum facing homelessness and social exclusion. Both race distances start and finish at the Riverside Shopping Centre.
The course is described as undulating and takes participants through several key areas of the town. Runners pass through pedestrianised zones, the High Street, and Marlowes. While the 5k route returns down Marlowes, the 10k route extends through Old Town and Gadebridge Park before heading back.

Each kilometre of the course is accurately marked with distance flags. Marshals are positioned throughout the route to provide guidance and there is an event village on-site with various food and drink options. All participants receive chip-timed results, free race photos, a themed medal, and post-race refreshments. Official event t-shirts are available for purchase during the registration process.
