Event overview

The Bradenham Blast is a trail running event organised by Boondock Events on Sunday 20 September 2026. It takes place at Manor Farm, Bradenham, High Wycombe (HP14 4HF) within the Chiltern Hills and the UK’s only arable nature reserve. Routes run through beech woodland, field margins and open trails with notable climbs and long descents. Trail shoes are recommended.

Routes and course

  • Half Marathon (21.1 km) - six climbs, final 3 km sweeping section back to the finish, total elevation gain 413 m.
  • 10 km - four climbs, final 3 km downhill section, total elevation gain 251 m; one aid station at about 4.9 km.
  • 5 km - one main climb then a long descent, total elevation gain 109 m.

Routes are fully marked, may be altered for safety and can run slightly short or long. The race holds a Trail Running Association permit (number 7305).

Entry, rules and facilities

Entry includes a first aid post, free professional photography, a finisher eco-medal and a tree planted on the participant’s behalf. Age limits apply: 5 km over 12 years, 10 km over 16 years, half marathon over 17 years. No refunds are offered and entries may be moved to rescheduled events if organisers cancel. No dogs are permitted under UKA rules. Headphones are allowed if the runner can hear marshals and other runners. Team and individual prizes are awarded for men and women in the 5 km and 10 km, and team scoring rules apply by distance. Public transport: Saunderton station is about a 25-minute walk; buses X30 and 130 stop at The Red Lion PH outside the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
