Helmsley Easter 10km

The Helmsley Easter 10km is a multi-terrain race in its 15th year, held around the market town of Helmsley. The route is 10 km long and takes runners on roads, forestry tracks, footpaths, and fields. It is an undulating, hilly course.

The event has a limit of 500 runners. Online entry is recommended to guarantee a place. Entry on the day may be possible for an additional surcharge, but only if spaces remain. The organizer states that all proceeds support Helmsley Open Air Swimming Pool and Samaritans Northallerton & The Dales.

What to Expect

The race is described as a community-friendly event. The organizers note that for the 2026 edition, there will be a more sustainable prize instead of Easter eggs and mugs. Only entries before 15 March 2026 are guaranteed a finishing memento. Prizes are awarded only to those who run on the day.

Facilities include water stations, distance markers, and toilets. There are no changing facilities, showers, or a baggage store. Parking is available in the Long Stay Car Park on the Cleveland Way and around the town. Catering is available after the race.
