Hardmoors 26.2 Goathland Trail Races
The Hardmoors 26.2 Goathland Trail Races take place on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Goathland Village Hall, The Common, Goathland, Whitby YO22 5JS. The event offers three unmarked trail distances; competitors must navigate using provided downloadable maps and route descriptions that runners must print and carry.
- 27 miles Trail Marathon, ascent 3205 ft, time limit 9 hours
- 16 miles Half Marathon, ascent 2100 ft, time limit 6 hours
- 7.5 miles Trail 10k, ascent 1100 ft, time limit 4 hours
The event has a field limit of 300 entrants. Entry fees start from £28 with specific prices listed by distance; a t shirt is available for an additional £10 and entries include a £1 donation to the Cleveland Way National Trail. Car parking is available in the village public car park and two private car parks; parking fees are to be confirmed.
This is a cupless event so runners should bring a cup for checkpoint and finish drinks. Dogs are not permitted at the race or in race headquarters. Mandatory winter safety kit is required for all distances and includes items such as a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat, gloves, whistle, printed map and route description, survival bag or foil blanket and a head torch for marathon runners.
