Hardmoors 26.2: Goathland : event summary
Hardmoors 26.2: Goathland is a circular trail race day held in Goathland, North Yorkshire, with the race base at Goathland Village Hall, The Common, Goathland, Whitby, YO22 5JS. The event offers three distances and has an overall entry limit of 300 participants. Parking is available in the village public car park and two private car parks; fees are to be confirmed.

Entries open in late November 2025 for general entries and close on 23 October 2026. Age minimums apply: marathon 18+, half marathon 16+, 10k 10+. Entry fees vary by distance and UKA attachment status; a race t-shirt can be purchased for an additional fee.
Courses are not taped or signed. Competitors receive downloadable maps, route descriptions and GPX files and must navigate the course themselves; printed maps and route descriptions must be carried. Time limits apply: 9 hours for the marathon, 6 hours for the half, 4 hours for the 10k. The event is an ARC-permitted race.
Mandatory kit must be carried for the full duration of the race and includes a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, whistle, printed map and route description, survival bag and foil blanket, and other listed items. Failure to carry mandatory kit may lead to disqualification. The event is cupless, so runners should bring a cup for checkpoint drinks and finish refreshments.
