Hardmoors 26.2: Goathland is a trail running event on 7 November 2026 in Goathland, Whitby (YO22 5JS). It is part of the Hardmoors 26.2 series of six trail marathons in the North York Moors and on the Cleveland Heritage Coastline. Entries opened on 23 November 2025 and close on 23 October 2026. At the time of the listing there were 39 participants registered. Dogs are not allowed at the event.
Course, distances and rules
The event uses circular, unsigned routes; competitors must carry the printed route map and route description and are responsible for their own navigation. Downloadable maps and a race route description are provided. Time limits are 9 hours for the Trail Marathon, 6 hours for the Half Marathon and 4 hours for the Trail 10k.

Compulsory kit must be carried or worn for the full duration of the event and includes a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat, gloves, whistle, spare long-sleeved top, 500 ml of water or sports drink, printed map and route description, survival bag and foil blanket, safety pins or race belt, and a head torch or torch (full runners only). Failure to carry mandatory kit may result in disqualification.
Entry fees listed include Marathon £49 attached / £51 unattached; Half Marathon £36 attached / £38 unattached; 10k £28 attached / £30 unattached.
