Hardmoors 26.2 Goathland Trail Races
This event takes place on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Goathland Village Hall, The Common, Goathland, Whitby YO22 5JS. The event has a maximum of 300 places and is held under an ARC permit (26/0145). Car parking is available in the village public car park and two private car parks; fees are to be confirmed.

The courses have substantial ascent: 3205, 2100 and 1100 feet respectively. Official time limits are 9 hours for the longest distance, 6 hours for the mid distance and 4 hours for the 7.5 mile race. Prize categories include overall male and female places, veteran categories and a non binary category when entry numbers allow.
Entries open for voucher holders and general entries in November 2025 and close on 23 October 2026. Entry fees include a £1 donation to the Cleveland Way National Trail; race fees vary by distance with a t shirt available separately for £10.
Competitors must navigate themselves: downloadable route maps, route descriptions and GPX files are provided and must be printed and carried. This is a cupless event so runners should bring a cup for checkpoint and finish drinks. Mandatory winter kit is required and will be checked; required items include a waterproof jacket with taped seams, hat, gloves, whistle, printed map and route description, survival bag or foil blanket, safety pins or race belt, and additional items specified for each distance.
