Hedgehog Half Marathon
The Hedgehog Half Marathon is an all on road event starting and finishing in the grounds of Normanby Hall Country Park in North Lincolnshire. The route passes through small villages and countryside with views extending toward the Humber Bridge and across the river. The course uses a mix of partly closed roads and open quiet country roads.
The event offers a full half marathon distance of 13.1 miles plus a Hoglet one mile fun run for children. The half marathon is an untimed event. Entry includes park access for the day and a finishers medal for all who complete their distance. Sweets, water and cake are provided at the finish area.
The event works with Andrews Hedgehog Hospital to raise awareness and funds for hedgehog welfare. A virtual entry option is available for those who prefer to run the distance remotely. Event capacity is limited to 500 places for the half marathon and 75 places for the Hoglet mile. A parking pass is required for car access; the stated parking charge is passed to Normanby Hall and North Lincolnshire Council.
