Heddington 5k Series
The Heddington 5k Series is a stripped back summer race series held across June, July and August. The series is organised by Calne Running Club to provide an affordable, low‑frills event that retains accredited race standards. The event holds a UKA race permit, has a certificate of course accuracy and is chip timed by DB Max. Suitable medical cover is provided and water is available at the finish.
The course uses quiet country lanes around Heddington and is described as fast and flat. The route begins about 100 metres beyond Charles Willis Hall, includes a downhill start before leveling out, and finishes in the centre of Heddington at the Ivy Inn.
Race headquarters are at Charles Willis Hall, Church Road, Heddington, SN11 0PH, adjacent to the Church of England primary school. The hall is manned during the event and baggage may be left there; a baggage run to the finish will be provided when bags are left at Race HQ. Ample toilet facilities are available in the village hall. Free parking is available near the Ivy Inn and event registration is based at Charles Willis Hall.
Entry fees are listed as £12 for affiliated athletes and £14 for unaffiliated athletes. No finisher mementos are provided so entry fees cover event organisation and safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
