About the race
The MTC Thames Challenge is a four-day ultramarathon along England’s Thames Path, 184 miles from the river’s source in the Cotswolds to the Thames Barrier in Greenwich. The course divides into four stages: The Cotswold Ultra (57 miles), The Oxford Ultra (49 miles), The Windsor Ultra (47 miles) and The Richmond Ultra (33 miles). It is part of Ultra Running Ltd’s Challenger Series and the sister event to Severn Challenge, with a Severn & Thames Buckle option for completing both in same year.
Finishers receive four medals and day gear; top male and female trophies complete the awards. Accommodation is arranged for Days 1–3. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
