Healthy Kids Running Series - Quakertown
The Healthy Kids Running Series in Quakertown is a youth running program held over five weeks at Molasses Creek Park. The series is designed for children from Pre-K through 8th grade, with races taking place once a week on designated dates. Participants earn points for each race finished, and all runners receive a medal during the final week of the series.
The program includes several age-appropriate distances and divisions:
- 50 Yard Dash for Pre-K 2/3 year olds
- 75 Yard Dash for Pre-K 4/5 year olds
- 1/4 Mile for Kindergarten and 1st Grade
- 1/2 Mile for 2nd and 3rd Grade
- 1 Mile for 4th through 8th Grade
- 75 Yard Dash for the Challenger Division
The Challenger Division is an adaptive race for children with disabilities or special needs. This division allows parents, siblings, or friends to provide support on the course and permits the use of supportive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, or crutches.
Full series registration includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, and a finisher medal. While the series is designed as a five-week program, single-day walk-up registration is also available on-site at the race location starting one hour before the events begin. Trophies are awarded to top finishers in the various divisions for both boys and girls at the conclusion of the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
