Whitehall Community Run and Walk
The Whitehall Community Run and Walk is a charitable sports event held on the Whitehall-Coplay School District campus in Whitehall, Pennsylvania. The event features a single distance held on a flat and paved route:
- 2 Miles
Participants complete a loop around the campus that both begins and ends at the Track and Field. The course is designed to be level and is entirely on paved surfaces. The event is open to participants of all ages, with specific registration tiers for children under eight, students under eighteen, and adults. All proceeds from the event are directed to Heifer International to support global efforts in ending hunger and poverty.
The race utilizes a manual timing system for those participating in the run. Official finish times are recorded and published following the conclusion of the event. While runners receive timed results, walkers are also encouraged to participate in the event. Walkers start their 2-mile journey immediately after the runners have cleared the starting area.
Registered participants receive a race bib and post-race refreshments. Bib pickup takes place on the morning of the event at the track. The run is held rain or shine, provided weather conditions are deemed safe by organizers. Parking facilities are available on-site at the school district campus location.
