Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running
The Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running is a three-race series organized by Maryville-Alcoa-Blount County Parks & Recreation in 2026. The series comprises events on April 18, July 25, and December 6, staged at local venues including Springbrook Recreation Center (1537 Dalton Street, Alcoa), the Cooper Athletic Building on the Maryville College campus, and the Maryville Greenbelt Amphitheater with a start on West Church Avenue.
Distances offered:
- 5K run
- 1 Mile fun run/walk
Participants who complete all three races are eligible for Triple Crown cash awards and a special memento. Entry-related door prize eligibility requires participation in at least two races; both runners and walkers may be included in prize drawings. Packet pick up is available the Thursday before each event at Dick's Sporting Goods in Alcoa, and check-in is held at the event sites on race mornings.
All events use standard age divisions for male and female competitors starting at 8 and under and extending to 75 and over, with overall and masters categories for 40 and older. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each age group and fun run/walk participants receive ribbons. Additional event features include T shirts for registrants (65/35 cotton/poly blend, available day of as supplies last), post race refreshments for registered participants, and costume prizes at the December Reindeer Run. Race rules prohibit baby strollers, bicycles, roller blades, and dogs on the course; the use of headsets is not recommended due to traffic on route.
