Event
The 10th Annual Head for the Cure 5K - Charleston is scheduled for March 7, 2026, at James Island County Park in Charleston, South Carolina. The event includes a 5K road run, a kids fun run 100-meter dash, a brain tumor survivor photo, and community recognition segments titled "Keeping the Faith," "Legacy of Love," and other special recognitions. Packet pick up is planned the day before with details to be announced, and there is day-of packet pick up on the race day.
Registration and fundraising
Registration options and fees listed by the organizer include an Early Bird 5K ($34) that includes an event t-shirt, timing bib, and medal for ages 9 and up; a 5K plus dog option ($49) that includes a t-shirt, timing bib, dog bandana, and medals; a Kids Fun Run entry ($25) for children 9 or younger that includes a t-shirt and ribbon; and a Virtual registration ($40) that includes a mailed t-shirt and finishers medal but does not allow packet pick up. Funds raised will benefit MUSC - Hollings Cancer Center, Path to Hope, and other national brain cancer programs and education. The campaign shows $515.04 raised toward a stated goal of $145,000.
