Event overview
The 10th Annual Head for the Cure 5K - Charleston is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, at James Island County Park in Charleston, SC. The event raises funds and awareness for brain tumor research, education, and related programs. Race-day activities include a kids run, a brain tumor survivor photo, and community recognition segments such as Keeping the Faith and Legacy of Love.

Registration and race items
Early bird 5K pricing and other entry options are listed in the event registration. The 5K registration includes a t-shirt, timing bib, and medal. A combined person-and-dog entry includes a t-shirt, timing bib, medal for the person, and a dog bandana. Kids Fun Run registration includes a t-shirt and ribbon. Virtual registration includes a t-shirt and finisher medal sent by mail and does not allow packet pick up in person.
Packet pick up details for the day before the event are to be announced. Day-of packet pick up is offered.
Beneficiaries and fundraising
Funds raised will locally benefit MUSC - Hollings Cancer Center and Path to Hope, as well as other national brain cancer programs and initiatives.
