iFiveK - Charleston Digital
The iFiveK is a weekday evening race presented as the official business, athletic and social event for Charleston's tech professionals. The event is held at the Charleston Tech Center in downtown Charleston and includes an after-party following the race.
The race began in 2007 and is described as an annual Charleston tech tradition. Over the years it has recorded 18 editions, a total of 13,208 participants, and has raised $1,081,723 to support scholarships and community education efforts through the Charleston Learning Center.
Race recaps list participation and finish data for individual years. Recent editions show participant totals in the 400–500 range and recorded fastest finish times for men and women; for example, the 18th annual edition in 2026 reported 438 participants with fastest male and female times of 16:53.3 and 21:02.3 respectively. The event also documents community elements such as food and activity counts at past after-parties.
Sponsorship categories and a sponsor packet are part of the event structure, and proceeds are designated for local education initiatives. The presentation emphasizes the race as a recurring community and fundraising event within Charleston’s technology community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
