iFiveK
The iFiveK is an annual weekday evening race and networking event for Charleston tech professionals. It began in 2007 and is presented as an official business, athletic and social event for the local technology community. The event takes place at the Charleston Tech Center in downtown Charleston and is followed by an after party.
Over its history the event has run for many years and reported cumulative figures including 18 years of activity, 13,208 total participants and more than $1,081,723 raised to support scholarships at the Charleston Learning Center. Race materials include a published route map and annual recaps that list participant counts, food served and finish times.
Yearly reports show participant totals that range from the low hundreds to over a thousand in some years. Recorded finish times across past editions include men's results under 16 minutes and women's results under 19 minutes.
