Event
The Hustle For Heroes 5K is the third annual event hosted by the CSU Physical Therapy department on April 11, 2026, in North Charleston, SC (500 BUC Club Boulevard, 29406). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K run/walk
- Fun run - untimed (ages 12 and under)
All proceeds benefit WarriorWOD, an organization that supports veterans by addressing invisible wounds through exercise, nutrition, and mentorship and by assisting recovery from Post-Traumatic Stress and other challenges.
Race information
The course runs through the CSU campus and trails and finishes in the football stadium. A children’s fun run takes place inside the stadium. The event is held rain or shine. Parking for racers is free. T-shirts are available only for pick-up on the day of the event. There will be two water stations along the course: one at the 1.5-mile mark and one at the finish line.
Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed; because the course includes trail sections, strollers must be durable enough for those conditions and should line up near the back of the starting area for safety. Post-race offerings include vendors, giveaways, kids activity stations, food trucks, and free screenings provided by DPT students.
