Hustle For Heroes 5K
The CSU Physical Therapy department hosts the Hustle For Heroes 5K in North Charleston at 500 BUC Club Boulevard. The main course is a 5K run or walk that passes through CSU campus and trails and finishes inside the football stadium. A children's fun run takes place in the stadium the same morning.
The event includes on-site activities such as give-aways, kids activities, and food trucks. It is open to runners, walkers, and rollers, including baby strollers and wheelchairs. Participants and sponsors raise funds through the event; all proceeds benefit WarriorWOD.
WarriorWOD provides a holistic program for veterans that emphasizes exercise, nutrition, and mentorship. The organization supports veterans in recovery from Post-Traumatic Stress and other challenges by offering services aimed at improving health and community connection.
