Event details
The Rocket City Marathon race weekend takes place in Huntsville, Alabama on December 13-14, 2025. The event base is listed at 700 Monroe Street SW, Huntsville (Von Braun Center area). The weekend includes a Health and Fitness Expo with packet pickup that opens the day before race weekend and continues into the weekend. The marathon course passes through Downtown, Old Town, the Medical District, Blossomwood, Maple Hill Cemetery, the historic Train Depot, the Veteran’s Memorial, Campus 805, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and the Botanical Gardens, with an indoor finish at the Von Braun Center.

- Early Start Marathon - only for runners who need 6-7 hours to complete the marathon
All registered runners receive a long-sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, and post-race food. Marathon and half marathon finishers receive an additional finisher gift. Participants who complete the 5K, 10K and either the half or full marathon as the "Hat Trick" earn three shirts, three medals, and a custom Rocket City Marathon hat.
