Hawk's Flight 5K
The Hawk's Flight 5K is an annual event held at Santiago Canyon College on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The college campus is located at the foot of the Santiago Mountains at 8045 E. Chapman Avenue in Orange, California.
The event features two race options: the main Hawk's Flight 5K and a Kid’s Trot (Hatchling Trot). The course winds through the campus grounds and its facilities. Proceeds from the event support a scholarship fund for one female and one male student from a local high school.
Registration fees are listed as $25 for early registration, $30 for regular registration, and $35 for day-of registration. Participants in the 5K receive a free t-shirt with the official event logo.
Awards are given in multiple age categories for both male and female participants in the 5K:
- Ages 30 and below (1st, 2nd, 3rd place)
- Ages 31-40 (1st, 2nd, 3rd place)
- Ages 41-50 (1st, 2nd, 3rd place)
- Ages 51 and above (1st, 2nd, 3rd place)
All children participating in the Hatchling Trot receive a medal. Early packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, March 20, at the Gymnasium/Parking Lot 7. Race day packet pick-up is also available at the same location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
