Event overview
Santiago Canyon College’s Hawk's Flight event takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Santiago Canyon College, 8045 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA 92869. The program includes a 5K run/fun run/walk and a Kid's Trot called the Hatchling Trot. The 5K course is held on the college campus. Proceeds from the event will be donated toward a scholarship for one female and one male student from a local high school. All runners receive a t-shirt with the Hawk's Flight logo. All Hatchling Trot participants receive a medal. Awards are given by age group with placements for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category: 30 and below; 31-40; 41-50; and 51 and above.
Registration and logistics
The Kid’s Trot lists a registration fee of $12.50, which includes a $2.50 fee. Registration for the Kid’s Trot closes on March 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Early packet pick up is Friday, March 20, at the gymnasium/parking lot 7. Race day packet pick up is at the gymnasium/parking lot 7. A course map and directions are provided by the organizer.
