Wicked Wine Run at Oak Canyon Park
The Wicked Wine Run takes place at Oak Canyon Park in Irvine, California. This 17-acre recreational area is situated in the Santa Ana Mountains and features a lake, expansive lawns, and natural scenery. The event focuses on combining physical activity with a social wine tasting experience for participants aged 21 and older.
Participants can choose between several participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk: A timed or untimed course where participants receive a souvenir glass and wine at the finish line.
- 1K Tasting Walk: A shorter course featuring three wine sampling stations along the route and a final tasting at the finish.
- Individual 1K and 5K: A combination ticket for those wishing to participate in both distances.
The event includes an after-party with music, food trucks, and various activities such as games, a dance contest, and a costume contest. Participants receive an event bib and a themed shirt. Those completing the 5K also receive a finisher medal. Aid stations are located along the route, with two water stations provided for the longer distance.
The venue offers amenities including sports fields and recreational areas. While the event takes place within the park, participants are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs for the post-race festivities. Parking is available on-site for a fee, and all attendees must undergo age verification with a valid ID before participating. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
