Haunts & Hallows - Virginia Beach, VA
Haunts & Hallows is a trail half marathon organized by Winding Way Run Co. The course takes place on the trails of First Landing State Park and features roots, bridges, sandy sections, and gently rolling terrain with approximately 300 feet of elevation gain. The event uses a four hour cutoff for finishers.
Runners are supported by four aid stations distributed along the course. Aid stations are stocked with Tailwind, water, and soda, and volunteers may provide additional items. At the finish area there will be donuts from Glazed And Infuzed and coffee, and a race photographer will provide downloadable photos.
All runners and volunteers receive a shirt, and all finishers receive a finisher beanie from BOCO. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and to top male and female finishers in junior (under 21), masters (40-49), grand masters (50-59), and super masters (60 and over) categories. Runners must register by October 8 to guarantee the correct shirt size.
Winding Way Run Co. will make a donation to AIDNOW on behalf of the event, and registrants may choose to add a donation during registration. Except for the organizer's Pregnancy and Postpartum Policy, registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable; this policy may be re-evaluated if the race reaches capacity and a waitlist is used.
