Run the Rainbow 5K and Fun Run 2026
Run the Rainbow 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run is scheduled for November 1, 2026, at Bells Mill Park, 424 Albemarle Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23322. This is the event's 9th annual edition and is presented by Hampton Roads Pride in partnership with Mettle Events.
The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Start and finish are located at the park amphitheater. Non-profit vendors will be present at Bells Mill Park on race day. Packet pickup location and date are to be announced, and details for an after party are also to be announced. Assisted athletes are welcome and encouraged to participate.
Organizers describe the event as attracting runners from across the east coast and as a mix of fitness, family, and coastal activities aimed at connecting businesses and organizations with the Hampton Roads Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Pansexual and allied communities. The event also aims to inspire new runners and youth to adopt a healthy lifestyle and engage with the community.
Hampton Roads Pride lists a fundraising goal of $10,000 for the event; no funds have been recorded toward that goal at this time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
