Masked Hope 5K Run/Walk
The Masked Hope 5K Run/Walk is a community fundraising event organized by the House of Esther Organization. The event takes place at Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach and serves to support missions providing housing, resources, and opportunities for women and children.
Participants have several distance and category options to choose from:
- 5K running race
- 3K walking only event
- 100m kids relay for ages 7-12
- 30m Tot Trot for ages 5-6
The event features a festive theme where participants are encouraged to wear masks and costumes. A Masked HOPE Costume and Mask Contest is held with prizes awarded for various categories.
In addition to the main courses, the event includes specific activities for younger participants. Children can take part in a sack race, a 100-meter dash, and face painting. The gathering focuses on community impact and moving families toward better resources through athletic participation and volunteering. Registration fees vary depending on the chosen distance and age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
