Wicked 10K Weekend - Virginia Beach
The Wicked 10K Weekend is a Halloween themed race weekend held at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The weekend includes multiple distance options and challenge formats, with on-course entertainment and themed elements along the oceanfront.
Distances:
- 10K 6.2 miles along the Virginia Beach Oceanfront
- 5K 3.1 miles to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk
- Monster Mile and combined challenge options
The 10K course starts on 19th Street by the Virginia Beach Convention Center and finishes at 20th Street on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The course is described as flat and fast and features spooky course entertainment. Course support includes three hydration and water stops (approximately miles 2, 4 and 5) and port-a-potties at the start/finish and near each water stop. The course time limit is two hours, equivalent to a 20:00 minute per mile pace. Course certification is VA22028RT.
Event perks listed for participants include technical race shirts, a unique finisher medal, finisher items for 2026, and a post-race celebration with beer, finisher food, and entertainment included with registration. Challenge formats combine distances (for example the Pumpkin Smash Challenge pairs the 10K with the Monster Mile); some challenges require a separate challenge registration.
