HAUNTED Salt Lake City - event overview
HAUNTED Salt Lake City is a Halloween-themed set of races held on October 17, 2026, with the finish and celebration at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City, UT.
Distances:
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon down Emigration Canyon
- 5K out and back around Sugar House Park
- Half-mile Kids Run through Spook Alley
The Half Marathon route runs down Emigration Canyon, passes through the Spook Alley tunnel and an area described as a graveyard, and finishes at the large inflatable pumpkin arch at Sugar House Park. The 5K is an out and back near the park entrance. The Kids Run follows a short route through Spook Alley to a festive finish.
Race services include professionally timed bib chips, aid stations with electrolytes, water, porta-potties and first aid, on-course GU at two aid stations on the half course, free race photos, and live photographers at multiple locations. A bag drop is provided only at the Half Marathon start with pickup at the finish. Transportation to the Half start is provided by buses from Highland High School; self-transportation to the Half start is not permitted.
Packet pickup is available at the race expo the day before the race; same-day pickup is offered for a fee. Awards include top three overall and age group medals for the Half and 5K, with top overall finishers receiving certificates and a free entry for the following year. Swag for 2026 is to be announced.
