Event Overview
The HAUNTED Salt Lake City event features three races: a half marathon, a 5K, and a kids run. It is a Halloween-themed event that takes place at Sugarhouse Park in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Race Courses
The Half Marathon course begins at Little Mountain Summit in Emigration Canyon and descends 13.1 miles down the canyon. Runners pass through a Spook Alley tunnel, by a graveyard, and finish under a giant pumpkin arch at Sugarhouse Park.
The 5K is an out-and-back course around Sugarhouse Park. The Kids Run is a half-mile dash through the Spook Alley tunnel to its own finish.
Event Features
The event includes a costume contest at the Half Marathon start, with categories for best male, female, and group costumes. A finisher medal is awarded to all participants. Post-race amenities include water, electrolytes, chocolate milk, and food. There is live music, sponsor booths, and photo opportunities. Professional race timing is provided.
For the Half Marathon, bag drop is available at the start line, with bags transported to the finish. Aid stations on the courses provide water, electrolytes, and GU energy gels. Pace groups are available for the Half Marathon.
Registration and Packet Pickup
Packet pickup is held the day before the race at an expo. A fee applies for race-day packet pickup. Registration closes one hour before the bus loading for the Half Marathon and one hour before the start of the 5K and Kids Run on race day. A discount is offered for groups of four or more registering together.
Awards
Top three overall male and female finishers in each race receive medals. Age group awards are given for the Half Marathon and 5K. Overall winners of the Half Marathon and 5K also receive a free entry for the following year's race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
