HAUNTED Salt Lake City - event overview
HAUNTED Salt Lake City is a themed running event held on October 17, 2026 in Salt Lake City, Utah, with race activities centered at Sugar House Park. The event includes multiple race distances and themed course features, including a Spook Alley tunnel, a skeleton graveyard, and a giant inflatable pumpkin at the finish.
Distances
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles from Emigration Canyon to Sugar House Park
- 5K out-and-back around Sugar House Park
- Kids Run roughly a half-mile through Spook Alley
Packet pick-up and an expo are scheduled the day before the race with a to-be-announced location. Bus transportation is provided from Highland High School to the half marathon start at Little Mountain Summit; self-transportation to the start is not permitted and missing the provided bus may result in forfeiture of race entry. A bag drop is available at the half start with pick-up at the finish.
Aid stations along the course provide electrolytes, water, porta-potties, and a first aid kit. GU energy gel is available at two aid stations on the half marathon course. Timing chips are attached to bibs for chip timing and overall places use gun time for top-three results.
Event amenities include free race-day photos, RaceJoy live tracking, pacers for the half marathon, finisher medals and shirts, and awards for overall and age-group finishers. Swag details will be announced closer to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
