Haunted Halloween 5K & 10K Run / Walk - Spring Lake, Michigan
The event is held in a fully enclosed venue on the bike path around the lake in Spring Lake, Michigan. The course uses laps around the lake: two laps equal a 5 km distance and four laps equal a 10 km distance. A Start/Finish timing mat provides a chip start time, records total time, and logs individual laps.
Three event options are offered:
- 5 km two laps on the bike path
- 10 km four laps on the bike path
- 5 km and 10 km combined running only; participants run the 5 km then the 10 km
This is a fundraising event with all proceeds supporting the Spring Lake High School boys volleyball program, which is not school funded and incurs significant seasonal and travel expenses. The event is Halloween themed; costumes are welcome and there is an award for best costume. Overall awards for male and female finishers go three deep. Age group awards for male and female go three deep in five year increments up to the oldest participant.
Registered participants receive a long sleeved Dri-Fit tech shirt. Event photography by STELLAFLY will be on site and photos are available to participants free of charge. One aid station near the Start/Finish will provide water and Gatorade. Pets are not allowed on the course; running strollers are allowed and should start at the back.
