Harvest Moon Run : Eureka, Missouri
The Harvest Moon Run is a nighttime 5K run and walk held at Route 66 State Park in Eureka, Missouri. The event uses a paved, mostly flat course with pathlighters along the route and a moonlit finish area. 5K participants receive an Energizer headlight as part of their entry.
The event includes children's distances and awards. Kids 10 and under may enter free and race options include:
- 5K run and walk
- Mini Moonie Dash 1/10 mile for ages 4 and under
- Moonie 1/2 mile for ages 5 to 7
- Moonie Mile for ages 8 to 10
Packet pickup provides a long-sleeve signature t-shirt, Energizer headlight, and bib when included with registration. Early bird registration runs March 1 to June 1 with listed fees and options that may include a guaranteed t-shirt size and headlight.
Proceeds support the Harvest Moon Run Hunger Mission, including the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge Weekend Backpack Food Program and local food pantries. The event runs a Fill a Ford with Food collection and asks participants to bring canned and boxed food items, no glass. The day also features an Elks Lodge grill benefit, an event playlist and an emcee, and medals for age group and overall winners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
