Harvest Moon Run in Eureka, Missouri
The Harvest Moon Run is a nighttime 5K run and walk held at Historic Route 66 State Park in Eureka, Missouri on October 10, 2026. The event uses a paved, mostly flat course with pathlighters along the route. 5K participants receive an Energizer headlight.
Distances offered:
- 5K run and walk
- 1/10 mile Mini Moonie Dash for youngest children
- 1/2 mile Moonie for ages 5 to 7
- 1 mile Moonie Mile for ages 8 to 10
The event raises funds for the Harvest Moon Run Hunger Mission, which supports the Eureka-Pacific Elks Lodge Weekend Backpack Food Program and area food pantries. Organizers note that many local households face food insecurity and request canned and boxed food items (no glass) at registration and collection points.
Registration for the 5K is available online until October 7, 2026. Fee options listed for individual registration include a $40 option with a guaranteed long-sleeve T-shirt and Energizer headlight, and a $35 option without a T-shirt that still includes the headlight. Kids 10 and under may race for free in the youth events. Packet pickup is scheduled Friday, October 9 at The Timbers of Eureka Recreation Center and on race day at Route 66 State Park.
