The Shippey Endurance Runs
The Shippey Endurance Runs are a trail ultrarunning event held at Beaumont Scout Reservation in High Ridge, Missouri on January 16-17, 2027. The event uses Scout trail systems that are normally closed to the public and runs through rolling wooded hills near Greater St. Louis.
Multiple race distances are offered, including:
- 100 miles (approx. 101.7 mi, 15,000 ft ascent/descent)
- 100K (approx. 61 mi, 9,000 ft ascent/descent)
- 50K (approx. 31 mi, 4,600 ft ascent/descent)
- 40 miles (approx. 40.7 mi, 6,000 ft ascent/descent)
- 20 miles (approx. 20.15 mi, 3,000 ft ascent/descent)
- 25K (approx. 15.5 mi, 2,300 ft ascent/descent)
The course alternates direction by year and features steep climbs, ridgeline running, steep descents, creek bottoms, pine floors, and a mix of roughly 75% single/double track and 25% jeep roads. Two indoor aid stations are used and are encountered multiple times on course. The event provides on-site indoor camping in the Emerson Center with shared shower and bathroom facilities; spaces are limited and popups and open fires are not permitted.
Registration closes January 13, 2027. Registration is nonrefundable; distance changes and bib transfers are allowed through January 13 under the event policy. Awards, swag, and mileage recognition are specified by distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
