Event overview
The Run Harrogate 10K takes place on 28 June 2026 in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. The event is organised by Harrogate Harriers & AC and sponsored by Harmony Energy. The race distance is 10 Kilometres and entry is limited to 1,000 runners (remaining places listed as 994).
Course and race format
The route is a multi-terrain, undulating one-lap course in the Crimple Valley area. Around 70% of the course is tarmac road and the remainder is on footpaths. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies, and dogs are not permitted. A cut-off time of 1 hour 45 minutes is in place; runners slower than the predicted finish pace at halfway may be asked to withdraw. Minimum age on race day is 15. The wearing of headphones or similar devices is not permitted under UKA rules.
Facilities, prizes and entries
Race headquarters is at Harrogate Sports & Fitness Club, Hookstone Wood Road, Harrogate HG2 8PN. On-course facilities include water stations, distance markers, toilets and a baggage store; there are no changing facilities or showers. All finishers receive event goodies and a specially designed medal. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in female and open categories, first male and female in each five-year age group, and Female and Open EA Affiliated Club Team prizes (first three count for each team).
Entry fees are £20 for UK Athletics affiliated members and £22 for unaffiliated runners. If the event has not sold out, on-the-day entry is available for an additional £2. Refunds are not available once all places are sold or within 28 days of the race; while places remain and it is more than 28 days before the race, entrants may apply by email for a refund subject to a processing charge.
