2026 Hark the Herald Half Marathon & 10K
The event is scheduled for December 12, 2026 at Angel Island State Park, Belvedere Tiburon, CA. The course is a hilly loop trail that circumnavigates Angel Island and offers panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, Alcatraz Island, the East Bay, and Marin County. The 10K is a single loop of about 6.5 miles; the Half Marathon completes the loop twice. The event is limited to 400 participants. Race pricing includes the ferry fee and processing fee.

The course will be marked with orange ribbon at crossings and turns. There are no aid stations on the course; aid will be available before the second loop for Half Marathon runners. Participants are strongly advised to carry water. Food and drink will be available at the finish. Course cut-off time is 3.5 hours (16:00 min/mile pace for the Half Marathon, 35:00 min/mile for the 10K). Half Marathon runners must complete the first loop within 1 hour 30 minutes. Hikers and walkers may participate in the 10K.
Additional details: T-shirts for all participants; medals for all Half Marathon finishers; personalized award ribbons mailed to top three finishers in each age group. Headphones and other audio devices are not allowed on course. Parking is available in Tiburon lots with typical daily fees of $5–$20. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable; cancellations before November 12, 2026 may receive a rollover credit minus a $20 fee, and after that date a doctor's note is required for credit.
