Hardmoors 26.2: White Horse
Hardmoors 26.2: White Horse is a trail race held on 10 May 2026 at Sutton Bank Visitor Centre near Thirsk, North Yorkshire. The event is part of the Hardmoors 26.2 Series and uses circular routes based at the visitor centre. The event is reported as full.
Distances offered:
- Trail Marathon, approximately 28 miles
- Trail Half Marathon, approximately 17 miles
- Trail 10k, approximately 8 miles with about 1600 feet of climb
Courses are not taped or signed for navigation. Competitors are provided with downloadable route descriptions and maps and are responsible for navigating the course. Foot sweepers will operate on all three distances. Competitors who do not meet published cutoffs will be retired at strategic checkpoints and transported back to the start when possible.
Time limits are published for each distance: 9 hours for the marathon, 6 hours for the half marathon, and 4 hours for the 10k. Mandatory kit must be carried throughout the race; required items differ by distance but include printed route materials, a survival bag and foil blanket. Waterproofs, hat and gloves and the capacity to carry fluid are mandatory for the marathon and half marathon. The event does not provide plastic cups at checkpoints and dogs are not permitted.
