About the race
Hardmoors 26.2: Saltburn Trail Marathon is held in Saltburn-by-the-Sea, starting at Saltburn Learning Campus in Marske Mill Lane. The event offers three distances: Trail Marathon (~28 miles), Half Marathon, and Trail 10k (~7.5 miles). Races traverse coastal and moorland terrain along the Cleveland Heritage Coastline and the North York Moors.
The course is not taped or signed; runners download a route description and maps to navigate. A compulsory kit must be carried, including a headtorch for the marathon, and the event is cupless at checkpoints. Dogs are not permitted; time limits apply (9h, 5h, 3h).
