Hammerman Triathlon & Duathlon : Little Campbell Lake, Anchorage
The event is centered at Little Campbell Lake near the west end of Raspberry Road at the entrance to Kincaid Park. The course is composed of a 500 yard lake swim, a 9 mile mountain bike section, and a 2.2 mile trail run per lap. Sprint events use one lap; Long events use two laps.
Event formats and distances:
- 24 miles - Long: two laps of 500 yd swim, 9 mi bike, 2.2 mi run
- 12 miles - Sprint: one lap of 500 yd swim, 9 mi bike, 2.2 mi run
A duathlon option replaces the swim with a one mile opening run and is offered as a solo, one-lap event. Team entries are available only for the two-lap Long course and teams may consist of two or three members. The two-lap solo Long course is restricted to participants 18 years and older unless the race director grants approval.
Course terrain includes hilly sections, extensive single-track, and several technical features. Only mountain bikes are permitted; cyclo-cross, hybrids, electric or motorized bikes, and bikes with drop bars are not allowed. On race day there is no parking on the outbound side of the access road. Registered participants may qualify for a five dollar discount if they are current 2026 Alaska Triathlon Club members or active duty or retired military.
