Event Overview

The Halifax Urban Trail is a trail race scheduled for Easter Monday, with a distance of approximately 10 kilometers. The event starts at Shibden Park in Halifax.

Race Route

The course runs from Shibden Park along tracks and paths to Beacon Hill. From there, it descends into the town center, passing through several of Halifax's historic landmark buildings. These include a subterranean passage under Shibden Hall, Halifax Minster, the Piece Hall, Halifax Borough Market, Dean Clough Mills, and Halifax Town Hall. Several of these locations are not normally open to the public.

Event Concept and Charity

The event is inspired by the popular French trails urbains, where runners pass through significant local buildings. The event is organized to raise funds for Overgate Hospice in Calderdale. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
