Red-Hot Toddy 10K Road Race
The Red-Hot Toddy is a road race held in Todmorden with race headquarters at Todmorden Cricket Club, Centre Vale, OL14 7BS. A provisional date for 2027 is Sunday 14 March (tbc) and entries open Autumn 2026. Entry fees are listed at £10-16 and the minimum age is 16. Registration opens at 8.30am and prize giving is planned for 12 midday. Food and drink are available at the venue, including vegetarian and vegan options. There is limited parking at the cricket club with alternative spaces used when the main car park is full.
The certified 10 km course begins with two laps on the tarmac park road in Centre Vale Park, followed by a single hilly lap on rural and town centre roads that returns to the park road for the finish. The high point is just before halfway on Todmorden Edge, then a long descent to Bacup Road and a return along Rochdale Road. Total climbing on the course is 219 m. Water is available on the course and at the finish; participants are asked to bring their own cup if possible. Organisers encourage travel by bike, foot, public transport or carshare.
