Tameside March 5k Festival & Family Mile
Active Tameside and The Local Runners Podcast present a series of graded 5k races and a separate Family Mile at Tameside Cycle Circuit, Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne OL7 9HG on 13 March 2027.
The 5k is run over just over five laps of a flat, traffic free cycle circuit and uses chip timing. Races are graded by expected finish times and prizes are awarded in cash to the top three men and top three women. Race numbers are collected on the day and all finishers receive a memento. The event is staged under UK Athletics rules and the minimum age for the 5k is 13 on race day. Entry fees apply; UKA affiliated entrants receive a discount from the unattached price.
The Family Mile is for children aged 12 and under and covers approximately one and a half laps of the circuit. Adults may run alongside their children and all child participants receive a finishers medal. A reduced child entry fee applies for advance bookings with a higher on the day entry price. Transfers and deferrals are permitted under the organiser's terms and refunds are issued only at the organiser's discretion. Entries close on 11 March 2027.
