Event Overview
The Tameside 5k Festival takes place at the Tameside Cycle Circuit located on Richmond Street in Ashton-Under-Lyne. The event features graded races on a closed circuit, providing a traffic-free environment for all participants. The course is flat and consists of just over five laps of the cycle track, which is designed for speed and personal best attempts.

The event is staged under UK Athletics rules. For the 5 km race, participants must be at least 13 years old on the day of the event. The race has a total entry limit of 400 runners.

Cash prizes are awarded to the top three finishing men and women. Entry fees are structured with different rates for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, and a separate lower fee for the family mile.
