US Road Running - Richmond
The US Road Running event in Richmond, Kentucky, features several road races held at White Hall State Historic Site. This athletic gathering is part of a series that offers participants the opportunity to earn points toward seasonal rankings. All participants receive a finisher medal after completing their registered distance.
The event consists of three primary race distances:
- 5K: A 3.1 mile out-and-back course completed two times.
- 10K: A 6.2 mile out-and-back course completed four times.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile out-and-back course completed six times.
The courses are designed with specific out-and-back loops. The 5K and 10K utilize a 1.56 mile loop, while the Half Marathon uses a 2.18 mile loop. There is a general course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes for all events.
Participants are encouraged to wear costumes, and a group photo is taken at the start of the event. A specific award is given for the best costume. Registration is conducted exclusively online before the event, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is conducted at the event location shortly before the races begin.
