Chrysalis House 5K Run/Walk
The Chrysalis House 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for August 15, 2026 at the R. J. Corman Railroad Group Headquarters in Nicholasville, Kentucky, at 101 R. J. Corman Drive. The event is a 5K distance (3.1 miles). Registration opens April 22, 2026 and closes on August 15, 2026. The registration fee is $30. A free T-shirt is offered to participants who register by August 1.
The event includes on-course amenities and participant refreshments, listed as complimentary churned banana ice cream, fruit, and snacks, and access to a heated pavilion. The course is described as a closed course. Cash prizes are awarded to top male and female finishers: $500 for first place, $250 for second place, and $100 for third place. There are also six random drawings of $100.
Packet pick-up is available early at the Chrysalis Community Center, 1589 Hill Rise Drive, Lexington, KY, on Friday, August 14, and packet pick-up is also available on race day. Participants may pick up packets for friends or family without additional paperwork. Race day registration is offered.
Event rules note that pets and roller shoes are not permitted on the property. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult both on and off the course. Smoking and weapons are not permitted on the property. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
