Trick or Trot 5K - Englewood
The Trick or Trot 5K Trail Run is an annual event held at Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park in Englewood, Florida. Organized by the Zoomers Southwest Florida Running & Triathlon Club, the event offers a themed experience featuring witch and zombie elements. The course consists of a smooth mixed-surface trail made primarily of dirt and gravel.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5K) Trail Run
- 1 Mile Trail Walk
The event encourages the use of costumes, with awards presented for the best attire. Participants in the 3.1 Miles run receive a race shirt, a bib, and a finisher medal featuring a sliding character. Those taking part in the 1 Mile walk receive a shirt and a bib. Following the completion of the courses, food and refreshments are provided for all participants.
Awards for the 3.1 Miles race are given to overall male and female winners, as well as masters, grandmaster, senior grandmaster, and veterans categories. Age group awards are also provided for three male and female finishers in brackets ranging from 0-9 to 75 and over.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Zoomers Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to local graduating seniors pursuing higher education, trade school, or military service.
